San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver has been arrested and charged with two felonies according to the San Jose police.
Culliver has been charged with a hit and run incident involving a bicyclist and for the possession of brass knuckles according to KTVU.
Around 10:21 am Culliver allegedly hit a bicyclist with his car and then threatened an eyewitness. Culliver then fled the scene striking the eyewitness’ car.
The bicyclist was treated for minor injuries and later released from the hospital. Culliver has since been released from jail.
“The 49ers organization is aware of the recent matter involving Chris Culliver,” a statement by the 49ers read. “We will remain in contact with Chris and the local authorities as we continue to gather the facts regarding this situation. As this is an ongoing legal matter, we will reserve further comment at this time.”
Culliver missed the entire 2013 season after suffering a torn ACL.
