Jared Allen makes second visit to Seattle

Free agent defensive end Jared Allen could make his decision about 2014 in the next couple of days according to ESPN’s Ed Werder.

Allen, 31, has been one of the NFL’s premier pass rushers and is coming off a season in which he was in on 52 tackles and recorded 11.5 sacks for the Minnesota Vikings.

When free agency began it appeared that Allen was ticketed for Denver but after DeMarcus Ware was released by Dallas, Ware landed with the Broncos instead. Allen at one point suggested he would retire if his contract demands were not met, those demands are reportedly in the range of $10 million a season.

It is doubtful that Seattle would offer anything near that amount for Allen but they do offer him one of he best chances for a Super Bowl ring.

Allen has 128.5 sacks in his career. He has not missed a game over the last six seasons, his entire stay with the Vikings.
