The Dallas Cowboys have reached terms with defensive tackle Henry Melton.
Melton, 27, appeared in three games last season for the Chicago Bears before he suffered a torn ACL. In Dallas he will be reunited with former Bears defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli.
A fourth-round pick of the Bears in 2010, Melton had 15.5 sacks in his first three seasons under Marinelli.
Melton took to twitter to thank the city of Chicago and proclaim his new destination of Dallas.
Thank you chicago for the best 5 years of my life!…. I can't wait to begin the next chapter of my life… With a star on my helmet.

The Cowboys badly need bodies to fix their defensive line. If Melton proves to be healthy he would be quite the get for them. The Minnesota Vikings were also interested in him.
With the signing of Melton the Cowboys are probably no longer suitors for Jared Allen, though stranger things have happened.
