Raiders view Matt Schaub as top quarterback target

The Oakland Raiders are looking to add a quarterback to their roster whether it is in the draft or free agency.

According to ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez, the top target for he Raiders is Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub. Of course the Raiders are also looking at other free agent options in Josh Freeman, Michael Vick and a yet to be released Mark Sanchez.

Schaub and Sanchez are expected to be cut by their respective teams soon.

Currently the Raiders have a roster of Terrelle Pryor, Matt McGloin and Trent Edwards. The Raiders would be wise to consider drafting a quarterback as they hold the No. 5 overall pick. Of course there is no guarantee that their target in the draft would still be available.
