Wide receiver Anquan Boldin has signed a two-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers.

Boldin, 33, will make $12 million over the course of the two-year deal with $9 million guaranteed.

Acquired via trade from the Baltimore Ravens, Boldin posted 85 catches for 1,179 yards and seven touchdowns while becoming the favorite target of quarterback Colin Karpernick.

“49er fans, I wanted to be the first to tell you that I’m returning to San Francisco,” Boldin said on Monday, via CSN Bay Area. “Looking forward to joining my teammates, coaching staff and fans to bring back another championship to the Bay Area. Let’s go after our Quest For Six.”

Boldin’s numbers are expected to tail off in 2014 with the return of Michael Crabtree but he should provide the 49ers a more than capable target when he is on the field.
