The Carolina Panthers have locked up kicker Graham Gano on a new four-year deal.

Gano, 27, was 24-of-27 last season adding 42 extra points. In his second season with the Panthers he was perfect beyond 50-yards making all six attempts. He also had 63 touchbacks, third most in the NFL.

“The special teams unit was a large part of our success last year, and we are excited to keep Graham as a part of our team,” coach Ron Rivera said in a statement. “Graham has shown range and accuracy in his field goal kicking, and his strong leg has been a weapon for us on kickoffs.”

The Panthers will pay Gano $12.4 million over the course of the deal.

Now all that the Panthers need to do is work out a deal with restricted free agent Greg Hardy.
