Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has stated that the team could move on without DeMarcus Ware in 2014. Those words are being matched by silence between the two parties.

The Cowboys could release or trade Ware who would need to take a significant paycut in order to stay with the team in 2014. With his pay dropping off last season and the Cowboys nearly $19 million over the salary cap something will have to give.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that there is “no communication” between the Cowboys and Ware.

Ware has seen his sack totals drop from 19.5 to 11.5 down to 6 over the past three seasons. Nagging injuries are doing him no favors nor is the fact he will be 32 when the season begins.
