The Buffalo Bills are willing to use the franchise tag on safety Jairus Byrd for the second year in a row reports NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
While the Bills have been trying to re-sign Byrd they could always use the tag on him for a second straight year. Doing so would earn Byrd a salary around $8.3 million. It could give the two sides a chance to work out an extension.
The #Bills still want to do a deal with S Jairus Byrd. If not, I’m told they plan to franchise tag him. Won’t let him get away for nothing
