Whether or no the St. Louis Rams and quarterback Sam Bradford work out a new deal is talk for another day. Right now head coach Jeff Fisher says the former 2010 first-overall pick is the Rams quarterback.

Appearing on Mike and Mike in the Morning, Fisher said that Bradford is recovering from his torn ACL that cut his 2013 season short.

“Sam’s doing great with the rehab,” Fisher said. “He’s really excited. He took on a leadership role last year and he’s maintained that and he’s our quarterback, and we’ve said that.”

While Bradford is set to count $17.6 million against the salary cap there has been mixed talk as to whether or not the Rams give him a new contract.

“We talk about extensions with all our players under contract. Whether or not we do so with him, I don’t know where all this came from, but Sam’s our quarterback. He’s going to be under center,” Fisher said.

There’s a good chance the Rams could make 2014 a prove it season for Bradford.
