New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is hoping that the team re-signs Hakeem Nicks.
“I have (asked him to stay),” Cruz said, via the Newark Star Ledger. “Selfishly, I would love for him to stay.”
The franchise tag which is $10 million for wide receivers is not a viable option to keep Nicks. Expect the Giants to add an option at wide receiver who will cost less than Nicks. The 26-year-old Nicks finished 2013 with 56 catches for 896 yards but never found the endzone.
