Russell Wilson won Super Bowl XLVIII with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday and is still planning to attend Texas Rangers camp this spring.
Wilson, 25, won the Super Bowl in just his second season in the NFL and was drafted by the Rangers in the Rule V draft. The Rangers are not trying to convince Wilson to become a two-sport start but rather want him to mentor some of their younger players.
Super Bowl champ (and infielder) Russell Wilson still plans to appear at @Rangers spring training, per his baseball agent, Mark Rodgers.

If nothing else Wilson will generate a lot of interest at Rangers camp. How much benefit he will actually provide remains to be seen but it can’t hurt.
