By now you probably have seen the video in which a man interrupted Malcolm Smith’s Super Bowl press conference stating that “9/11 was perpetrated by our own government.”

If not here it is:

What you are wondering now is, how did this man get into the Super Bowl and who was he?

“I just said I was running late for work and I had to get in there,” said Mills, via NJ.com’s AJ Perez. “It was that simple … “I didn’t think that I’d get that far … I just kept getting closer and closer. Once I got past the final gate and into the stadium, I was dumbfounded.”

According to the article, Matthew Mills is a 30-year old independent journalist from Brooklyn. He didn’t start the day off intending to hijack the post game show, he was just trying to get as close to MetLife Stadium to interview some fans.

Mills saw an employee bus at Secaucus Junction and hopped aboard. He was wearing an old credential that didn’t look too far off from the ones media were wearing at the Super Bowl. After getting through layers of security he decided he may as well get his message out there.

In the end, Mills was charged with trespassing.
