It took just 35 minutes for decades of the Metrodome to go away. On Saturday the famed dome stadium was deflated for the final time.

There was no explosion just the turning off of fans which provided the air to keep the supports to the roof.

Hard to believe that the place that once homed the Vikings, Twins and Timberwolves all at the same time is now gone. The Timberwolves played in the dome for one year while the Twins left for Target Field in 2009.

The Vikings will play at the University of Minnesota for two seasons before moving into a new stadium themselves.
