The Minnesota Vikings have hired Mike Zimmer as their new head coach, according to ESPN.com
Zimmer, spent the past five seasons as the defensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals. Zimmer, who was the only candidate to receive a second interview stayed overnight after the interview was finished on Tuesday, according to the source.
Zimmer will keep Minnesota’s 4-3 defense in place and reportedly has interest in bringing in Norv Turner to run the offense.
