Wade Phillips pokes fun at Texans for firing him

Wade Phillips was promoted to the role of head coach in Houston after the firing of Gary Kubiak. After the season was over the Texans let Phillips go from his role of defensive coordinator.

On Tuesday Phillips thanked everyone who had followed him on twitter and noted that he had cancelled his suite in Reliant Stadium.

Phillips went on to say he liked being a defensive coordinator but would never take on the role of interim head coach again.

Of course the Texans apparently notified Phillips that they never charged him the final 25,000 for his suite so perhaps they had the last laugh.

Phillips is currently looking for work.
