Lovie Smith will bring Rod Marinelli with him to Tampa Bay to serve as the defensive coordinator of the Buccaneers.
Marinelli coached the defensive line of the Dallas Cowboys in 2013 and had a contract for 2014 but with the team finishing last in nearly every statistic owner Jerry Jones must have felt it was easier to let him go.

Marinelli and Smith worked together as recently in 2010-2012 with the Bears. He is getting the defensive coordinator spot over Leslie Frazier who also has strong ties with Smith. Frazier could still land in Tampa Bay in an assistant role.
