The Cincinnati Bengals have signed punter Zoltan Mesko to a contract.
Shawn Powell was let go by the Bengals in a corresponding move. Powell had taken the place of Kevin Huber who suffered a broken jaw near the end of the season in a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mesko spent seven games with the Steelers in 2013 before being waved. He has played in 55 games during his NFL career, most of which were with the New England Patriots.
