The Kansas City Chiefs are locked into the AFC’s fifth seed and thus have nothing to play for in Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers.

Head coach Andy Reid plans to play his starters for a series but one player who will not see the field is running back Jamaal Charles.

Charles will be inactive for Sunday’s game.

Charles will finish the 2013 season with 1,287 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns. He caught 70 passes for 693 yards and seven touchdowns.
