With Tony Romo out for the season the Dallas Cowboys find themselves in need of another quarterback in case something was to happen to Kyle Orton.

Orton will start the Cowboys Week 17 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. His backup could be David Carr or John Skelton.

The Cowboys will workout Carr and Skelton on Tuesday. Carr has not been on anyone’s roster this season since the Giants cut him at the end of the preseason.  Skelton has spent the season between two teams but was recently cut by the Tennessee Titans.

Since being dratted as the first overall pick of the Houston Texans in 2002 Carr has thrown for 14,452 yards, 65 touchdowns and 71 interceptions.

Skelton bombed out in Arizona last season.

Either could make more as a backup for one game than many people make in an entire year.
