The Dallas Cowboys are 7-7 needing wins in their remaining two games in order to make the playoffs. While these are the last two games of the regular season they could also be the last two games of Jason Garrett’s tenure as head coach.
For weeks the idea of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones firing Garrett if the team failed to make the playoffs has circulated on the internet. And the idea is not going away, in fact even as the owner offers votes of confidence toward Garrett he could be ready to ax him at the end of the season.
One source told Ed Werder of ESPN that Garrett will be fired if the Cowboys fail to make the playoffs.
Source says current expectation is Jerry Jones will fire HC Jason Garrett and coaching staff unless the Cowboys win NFC East, make playoffs.
