Aaron Rodgers will miss his seventh straight game on Sunday. The Green Bay Packers quarterback is not guaranteed of being healthy for Week 17 or the playoffs should the team make it that far.

According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen Rodgers remains at “extraordinary risk” of further injury should he play in a football game. Rodgers has been out since injuring his collarbone in a Nov. 4 game against the Chicago Bears.

The Packers apparently knew early in the week that Rodgers would not be playing in Week 16 against the Steelers and understand that their franchise quarterback is simply not healthy enough to play right now.

Matt Flynn has led the Packers to back to back wins and will be under center again against Pittsburgh. With wins in their last two games the Packers can claim the NFC North and a playoff spot.
