The Green Bay Packers will be without quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the seventh straight game.

While the Packers have won back to back games with Matt Flynn under center their had been hope that Rodgers would return for Sunday’s match-up against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Instead the Packers will again roll with Flynn and backup Scott Tolzien.

The news is hardly a surprise as Flynn had took nearly all of the first team snaps during practice this week.

“As an organization we are not ready for Aaron to play,” McCarthy told reporters.

“He understands where we are. Everything’s been explained,” McCarthy added. “He’s played with injuries. He’s a tough guy. Like I said, he’s done everything he possibly can to get back on the field.”

Even without Rodgers the Packers can still win the NFC North if they simply win out. After Pittsburgh they play against the Bears.
