The New England Patriots are afraid that tight end Rob Gronkowski has suffered a torn ACL as the result of a play in the teams win over Cleveland in Week 14.
Gronkowski caught a pass from Tom Brady and was hit low by Browns safety T.J. Ward knocking him down and out of the game. He later was carted off the field.
On Monday the Patriots will have Gronkowski undergo an MRI. After the game Patriots head coach Bill Belichick simply noted that Gronkowski had been “taken to the hospital for evaluation.”
