There has been thousands of reports about Robert Grifffin III and his return from major knee surgery. Some even believe that Griffin pushed himself hard to return for the 2013 season for fear of being replaced at quarterback by Kirk Cousins.

If that idea is true, it’s news to Griffin.

“Me and Kirk have always been good,” Griffin told CSNwashington.com. “That’s not an issue. The way I look at it, hard work, dedication and God’s grace is what helped me come back and play so quick.”

Griffin added “Anyone who knows me, knows I’m not that guy. I’m not the guy that these negative articles are trying to paint me to be.”

At 3-9 the Redskins appear set to ride out the season as the starter in Washington.
