Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles have been impressed with the work of quarterback Nick Foles.

Speaking with reporters on Monday, Kelly labeled Foles the Eagles quarterback for a long time.

“He’s the starting quarterback for the next 1,000 years here,” said Kelly.

Foles has certain earned the commitment and then some with a 19:0 TD-to-INT ratio as a passer and 63.3 completion rate through nine appearances.

With a win on Sunday the Eagles have over back into a tie with the Dallas Cowboys atop the NFC East. (Though Dallas currently owns the tie breaker.)

Foles has earned the Eagles starting job and should keep it entering the 2014 season but it would come as no surprise if the Eagles drafted a more mobile option in the mid-rounds of next years draft.
