The New York Jets benched rookie quarterback Geno Smith in the second half of Week 13’s game against the Miami Dolphins.

Smith has been a turnover machine for the Jets lately throwing 10 interceptions and just one touchdown over the last six weeks. He struggled again on Sunday and was just 4-of-10 for 29 yards with an interception prior to being pulled for Matt Simms.

Simms entered a game with the Jets trailing 6-0 and did nothing going 9-of-18 for 79 yards and an interception himself as the Dolphins won 23-3.
