The Dallas Cowboys are fearing that Dez Bryant’s back issue has gone beyond routine soreness or spasms.  According to FoxSportsSouthwest.com sources “close to the Cowboys” fear Dez Bryant’s back issue could be a bulging or herniated disc.

Bryant was tight lipped in the locker room, “C’mon, you know I’m going to play,” he said.

Bryant missed practice on Wednesday, and according to Fox Sports was consulting a doctor.

On Thursday Bryant was scheduled to sit out the workout but did end up practicing. He moved carefully through the “jog-through” start of the session, but when it came to the full on work-out, Bryant removed his helmet, walked to the sideline and reclined on the ground under the supervision of a trainer.

“It’s bothering him a little bit off and on,” head coach Jason Garrett said. “We don’t think it’s a significant deal.”

Bryant is likely to play on Sunday versus the New Orleans Saints, although he may not be 100%. His status will be updated later today.
