Christian Ponder injures shoulder against Redskins

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder left Thursday’s night game against the Washington Redskins with an apparent left shoulder injury.

Ponder was injured while diving for the endzone at the end of the third quarter. DeAngelo Hall hit Ponder who immediately showed signs of a an injury to his non throwing shoulder.

The Vikings made the decision to put Matt Cassel into the game rather then Josh Freeman.

Prior to departing Ponder was 17-of-21 for 174 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
