The New York Jets can breathe a sigh of relief as tight end Jeremy Kerley is not lost for the season.

Kerley, 24, has been diagnosed with a dislocated left elbow which will cost him a few weeks of action.

The Jets are entering their bye week but could be without Kerley for games against Buffalo and Baltimore. He had been the team leader with 28 catches this season. He also had 347 yards and two touchdowns.

Geno Smith will need to find another option to dump the ball off to in the coming weeks but tight ends Kellen Winslow and Jeff Cumberland both should be available for the Jets to use after the bye week.
