Texans head coach Gary Kubiak collapses on field, not a heart attack

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak collapsed on the field during Sunday’s nights Texans vs. Colts game at Reliant Stadium.

The incident happened just before half-time.

Kubiak was immediately attended to by medical personnel. He left the field on a stretcher and was transported to a local hospital for “precautionary measures” and was conscious according to Texans PR.

Wade Phillips is taking over as the head coach for Texans for the rest of the game.

UPDATE: Late in the third quarter NBC sideline reporter Michelle Tafoya reported that the Texans had ruled out a heart attack on Kubiak.

We will update as more news comes available.
