Report: Martin fears retribution from Incognito

NFL: Miami Dolphins-Training Camp

Jonathan Martin has not formally made a complaint of bullying and the reason may be the fear of retribution from teammate Richie Incognito.

Thus far the Miami Dolphins have not reported any claims on the part of Martin and Incognito is demanding that his name be cleared from reports.

Both Adam Schefter and Chris Morensen of ESPN report that Martin has not made any claims of bullying for fears of retribution.

Schefter also deteailed a situation in which Martin was intimidated by Incognito to contribute $15,000 toward a trip to Las Vegas. Martin did not want to go on the trip and ultimately chose not to go but paid for the trip anyway.

Schefter also explained that there are text messages and at least one voice message proving harassment and justifying Martin’s fears for retribution.  Schefter added that Martin’s recent comments to Incognito were made over concerns that he would face backlash for accusing Incognito of wrong doing.

This story has a long way to go.
