Josh McCown will get the start for the Chicago Bears against the Green Bay Packers on Monday night. With Jay Cutler out due to a groin injury suffered in Week 7 the Bears will have to trust McCown to operate the offense.
Cutler is hoping to return early from his groin injury which has a four week timetable.
Monday’s start will be the first for McCown since the final game of the 2011 season against the Minnesota Vikings.
EXPECTING: Cutler & wife expecting second child
Filling in for Cutler in Week 7 he was 14-of-20 for 204 yards with one touchdown against the Redskins. Expectations should be set a bit lower in Monday’s game against the Packers.
After starting the season 3-0 the Bears are in danger of being 4-4 following Monday night.
