Buffalo Bills quarterback Thad Lewis has been diagnosed with a mild foot sprain.

Lewis, who was making his first start of the season for the Bills in Week 6, did not suffer any ligament damage according to an MRI.

The status of Lewis going forward is unknown. There is a chance he could play in next weeks game against the Miami Dolphins but right now he can not be considered as anything better then day-to-day.

Lewis was 19-of-32 for 216 yards with two touchdowns though the air and another on the ground in a 27-24 overtime loss to the Bengals. Lewis also had a fumble on one of his seven rushing attempts.

Already without first round draft pick E.J. Manuel (knee) the Bills invited Matt Flynn in for a workout on Sunday.
