Adrian Peterson is still expected to play against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6. On Friday Peterson’s 2-year-old son died following an alleged attack by the boyfriend of the child’s mother earlier this week.
Peterson’s status has not changed with a source telling ESPN‘s Josina Anderson, “I don’t think it will change.”
“There’s no doubt he’s going to play,” the source told Anderson. “It’s not going to happen where Adrian Peterson is not going to suit up for that game.”
Thank you to my family, my fans and fans of other teams for their support.

On Saturday Peterson asked fans to stop tweeting photos of his son Adrian Jr. saying that he lives with him and is fine.
Joseph Robert Patterson, 27, has been charged with aggravated assault and aggravated assault on an infant following the attack.
In four games this season Peterson has 421 yards rushing with five touchdowns. He has caught 11 passes for 52 yards and another touchdown.
