Christian Ponder is expected to miss additional games with a fractured rib near his heart.
Ponder, 25, missed Week 4 and the Vikings have a bye in Week 5. ESPN 1500’s Judd Zulgad suspects that Ponder will miss another three or four games but return in time for Week 8 or 9.
I’m guessing that with Christian Ponder having a fractured rib near his heart he will be out because of injury for three to four games.

The Vikings won their first game in Week 4 with Matt Cassel under center. Should the team continue to win he would seem likely to assume the role for the rest of the season.
