Rod Marinelli has given members of his defensive line some interesting nicknames. While the group is known as the “Fearsome Four” they all have individual names as well.
The Dallas Morning News reports the following from a conversation with Jason Hatcher.
Hatcher: Big Daddy.
DeMarcus Ware: Long Arms.
George Selvie: Bricklayer.
Nick Hayden: Golden Cock.
So why exactly is Hatcher known as the “Golden Cock?”
“He’s the only white guy,” Hatcher said. “You ever seen the Fearsome Four? Nick is the only white guy.”
And does he like that nickname?
“Oh yeah,” Hatcher said. “The Golden Cock, that’s a sweet name, the Golden Cock.”
As long as the Cowboys keep winning they can call themselves whatever they want. Currently 2-1 they play San Diego in Week 4.
