This is not what the Dallas Cowboys or Anthony Spencer wanted. On Tuesday team owner Jerry Jones suggested that Spencer may require micofracture surgery which could end his season before it begins.
Spencer has been dealing with a knee injury and has not played at all this season.

Playing on a one-year franchise tender the 29-year-old was hoping to duplicate his numbers of a year ago. In 2012 Spencer racked up 95 tackles, 11 sacks, three batted balls and forced two fumbles.
Georgie Selvie will continue to occupy Spencer’s spot on defense going forward.
