If Danny Amendola missing Thursday night’s game against the New York Jets was not bad enough, with the Patriot’s barely squeaking by with a 13-10 win over the New York Jets, Ian Rapoport has some bad news for you. He reported that the New England Patriot’s WR could miss 2-6 weeks with a groin injury.
Lot of goodies from @RapSheet just now. Pats hope Gronk back by Week 3. He will be back Week 4. Amendola out 2-6 weeks.

With running back Shane Vereen already out until Week 11, a long-term absence for Amendola is a severe blow to Tom Brady’s aerial attack. The Patriots’ nominal No. 1 receiver came up huge late in their win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 1.
The only good news for Patriot fans is that the team is “hoping” Rob Gronkowski will be back in Week 3, which would immediately boost the Patriot’s offense.
Fortunately for Brady he has been forced to work with lesser receivers and get the job done before.
