The season of Indianapolis Colts running back Vic Ballard is over after one game.
Ballard, a second-year player, tore his right ACL in practice on Thursday and will miss the rest of the season. The 23-year-old Ballard was second on the Colts depth chart at running back behind Ahman Bradshaw.
Kerwynn Williams has been promoted from the practice squad while Donald Brown figures to get a few carries as the backup to Bradshaw.
Ballard ran for 814 yards and two touchdowns in his rookie season in 2012.
