The Green Bay Packers want to stop the read option. So much so that the Packers signed former 49ers quarterbacks Seneca Wallace and Scott Tolzien to contracts leading up to their Week 1 game against San Francisco.
San Francisco and quarterback Colin Kaepernick made the Packers defense look silly in a playoff game last season and came up just short in a bid to win the Super Bowl. Kaepernick ran for 181 yards against the Packers in their playoff game.
On Sunday the two teams meet again with FOX covering the game which begins at 4:35 pm ET. (1:35 pm PT)
