On September 8, The Cincinnati Bengals will play the Chicago Bears in Solider Field on Sunday as Week 1 of the NFL season gets under way.

Both teams had high expectations last season but saw them end in identical 10-6 records. The Bears missed the playoffs and jettisoned head coach Lovie Smith but the Bengals kept much of their team in tact.

Coverage of this game will air on CBS beginning at 1:00 pm ET.

Entering Sunday’s game the Chicago Bears are a 3 point favorite over the Cincinnati Bengals. The over/under or total points is currently 41.5.

The Bears worked hard in the offseason trying to fix a porous offensive line in front of quarterback Jay Cutler. The Bears and new head coach Marc Trestman are hopeful that an improved line will allow Cutler to put together a full season which culminates in a playoff run.

Marvin Lewis of the Bengals is one of the longest tenured coaches in the NFL but last season the Bengals took a step back. Still the Bengals spent large to keep the team largely in tact. Offensively the Bengals are hoping that the drafting of tight end Tyler Eifert and running back Giovanni Benard can contribute to a group led by wide receiver A.J. Green and Andy Daulton.

Which team gets their first win of the season? Do the Bears start the Tretsman era off with a win or do the Bengals pull off the road upset?
