Chicago Bears wide receiver Earl Bennett has agreed to a $1 million pay cut this season.

Bennett, 26, will see his salary go from $2.25 million down to $1.25 million as a result.

Bennett is no higher then the No. 4 target in the Bears passing game and accepting the pay cut likely kept him on the roster. His salary for next season remains untouched by barring a break out this will be his last season with the Bears.

Slowed this preseason by a concussion, Bennett has been practicing this week ahead of the Bears Week 1 match-up against Cincinnati.

It has been a steady statistical decline since 2009 for Bennett. (54 catches, 717 yards)

Bennett appeared in parts of 12 games last year catching 29 passes for 375 yards and two touchdowns.
