So much for John Boyett telling police “You can’t arrest me; I’m a Colts player” as the team waived the Safety on Tuesday.
With the Colts waiving Boyett, he can no longer make that claim.
Boyett, 23, had been on the reserve/NFL list due to a knee injury suffered while playing at Oregon last year. On Monday morning he was arrested for disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting arrest after a bar refused to let him enter.
During the arrest Boyett is also alleged to have made threats about the police as well. An officer says Boyett told him he would “come back and break [officer’s] your jaw,”
