San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews was not arrested Sunday evening.
The San Diego Police Department is “still trying to sort it all out” according to Teri Figueroa of the Union Tribune.
Mathews was said to have been involved in a fight at Side Bar, a club in the Gaslamp Quarter.
“Ryan Mathews was never alleged to have struck anybody in this incident. He is not a suspect in anything at this time.” Officer Ed Zwibel said.
There is little facts in this case thus far but the initial report overstated the involvement of Mathews.
Examiner first reported that Mathews was arrested saying that the 25 year old had knocked a man out after an argument over a female.
