Aaron Hernandez has lost the endorsement of Cytosport due to his link to a homicide investigation in Massachusetts.

Cytosport, a sports nutrition company, cut ties with the New England Patriots tight end on Friday. The decision from Cytosport came three days after Hernandez was first linked to the investigation of a murder which left 27-year-old Odin Lloyd dead.

In a statement Cytosport said that it was terminating its contract with Hernandez “effective immediately.”

Other athletes with Cytosport endorsement deals include Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, Texas Rangers infielder Ian Kinsler and Olympic marathoner Ryan Hall.

No arrests have been made in relation to the homicide but reports indicate Hernandez could have a warrant issued for his arrest on charges of obstruction of justice.
