The home of Baltimore Raven’s running back Ray Rice was burglarized over the weekend. The burglar got away with $2000 and some guns according to police.
Cpl. Cathleen Batton, a spokeswoman for the Baltimore County police said the burglary happened sometime between 8:30 p.m Friday and 12:50 a.m. on Saturday.
Batton said that Rice was not at the home or in town when the burglary happened, but a friend was staying at the residence and reported the break in to police. She said that the burglar forced their way into the home and their image was caught on surveillance footage taken at the home.
Rice released a statement to USA Today saying, “My family and I are fine, which is the most important thing. This is an unfortunate incident that I am dealing with through the proper channels.”
