Orb won the 139th Kentucky Derby giving longtime trainer Shug McGaughey his first win in the event. Among those celebrating in big hats, bow times and other striped garments were Tom Brady and other former New England Patriot players.
Brady, Wes Welker, Tedy Bruschi, and Dan Koppen celebrated the win by Orb. The hot rumor is that Brady placed a $4,700 bet on the eventual winner. Brady was invited to the winners circle but declined the invitation.
