Former NFL coach Jack Pardee passed away on Monday at the age of 76. Pardee was a former NFL coach of the Chicago Bears, Washington Redskins and Houston Oilers.
A memorial scholarship fund in Pardee’s name has been set up by his family at the University of Houston. Pardee coached there from 1987-1989.
In November, Pardee’s family announced that he had gall bladder cancer that had spread to other organs and that he had six to nine months to live.
Pardee and his wife, Phyllis, were married for more than 50 years and have five children and 12 grandchildren.
