Jake Long’s price tag places him out of Dolphins plans

Jake Long is unlikely to return to the Miami Dolphins next season. Long is reportedly asking for $11 million a year in his next contract.

Long’s demands are well short of what the Dolphins are said to be offering.

Miami is said to be offering the tackle between $6 and $7 million, roughly $4 million short of Long’s demands. Couple that with Long’s disappointing season and a return looks less likely.

Should Long and the Dolphins part ways there are a few teams who may be willing to reach his demands. The Chicago Bears are the team many see making a push for Long. The Bears have long been overdue for a re-haul of their offensive line.
