The Detroit Lions want him back but kicker Jason Hanson is still said to be weighing his options for 2013. Hanson has spent 21 seasons in the NFL kicking for the Detroit Lions.
“I told them I really want to take my time and make sure that I’m not making a mistake by coming back and not going to regret that I left if I do,’’ Hanson said.
A decision by Hanson is expected relatively soon. Hanson made $2.55 million last season but said he he would play for less money if he returned.
